Who is a companion?
A companion carer may be either a paid or unpaid person whose main reason for attending a venue or event is to provide attendant care support to enable the cardholder to participate.
The cardholder's companion does not have to be the same person each time.
A person is not considered a companion carer for the purposes of the Companion Card program if they are required for only reassurance, social company or encouragement.
